Can My Car Be Service At Different Dealer Than Where Purchased

Can I buy auto in i dealership and service in another dealership?

I'grand buying my first new car and had a dealership related question. I alive in San Jose. The specific car I'm looking for is available in Santa Cruz. Tin I buy the car from the Santa Cruz dealer and then take information technology to servicing to a nearby Ford dealer in San Jose? Or do dealerships only service cars bought from their dealerships?

You can have the machine serviced anywhere nationally. The only caveat is if you do a service contract with a specific dealer, and not a national entity.

Keep in listen that some dealers will give preferential treatment to customers who purchased there. That oft boils down to nicer service loaners (if they offer them at all), start dibbs on scarce parts during recalls, etc. But non all dealers do this.

The so chosen preferential handling has become a myth IMHO. Dealers are making more coin in the repair side than the sales floor what practice they auto about where you bought the car? Does anyone really think they are going to disrespect someone who wants to pay for service or who has a manufacturers warranty?

They will service it. Can your local dealer not merchandise to get it?
